The sun broke through as Isa, her mother at her side, walked into the ceremony. What began as an international love story now had its Dutch chapter—in the heart of Gemert, surrounded by friends and family, some of whom had flown in especially from Italy.
The mix of languages, bursts of laughter, and embraces gave the day a magical quality. Between the ceremony and dinner, white balloons flew into the air—a moment that left many with a sting in their eyes. The dinner? Authentic, hearty, with long tables, antipasti, and warm speeches that sometimes began in Dutch and ended in Italian.
And just as the sun set and the light fell softly on the stone courtyard, the first dance began. Hand in hand, with their families on either side, Isa and Lorenzo danced beneath a string of twinkling lights—just as they'd imagined.
A wedding that wasn't about perfection, but about connection. And love, of course. Pure love.
